Happy new year one and all!

Well, we haven't actually played a huge amount of rugby of late due to the freezing conditions. Rest assured though, that as soon as the pitches are playable, we'll be back out there throwing everything we have at continuing what has thus far been a successful season.

At the time of writing, the Ones have won all of their league games, while the Twos have only lost a couple. This sucess is very much testament to the hard work being put in on the training park, by Sam, Tom, Rich & all the players.

The mini & junior section continues to strengthen with numbers increasing, and a series of impressive results - many of which have come against much bigger clubs. Thanks to Brian and all of the coaches and organisers who make this happen.

Off the pitch things are going similarly well. The bar is absolutely flying thanks to the efforts of Liz & Paul Kelsey. If you haven't been down recently, make sure you do - they'll have a drink and a smile waiting for you.

As we look to progress our To50 development plan, I'm pleased to announce we've recently been informed we've received planning permission for our carpark extension. We'll be getting the contractors in as soon as they're free, and ensure we sort the mess that is the current entrance while we're at it.

We're also currently looking into possible schemes for improved drainage of the bottom pitch. It's very much early days though, so don't expect anything to happen in the immediacy!

And after a series of requests, we'll also be getting a load of new furniture for the clubhouse to make our surrounds a bit more comfortable.

The reason I mention all of the above is, it's costing money. A heck of a lot of money. We're actively fundraising through sponsorship and events, but any help you can offer will be very warmly received. Every little helps. Even if it's just coming down and buying a beer. Literally, every little helps. If you'd like to help but are not sure how/where to, get in touch.
